Heejin (birth name Jeon Hee-jin), former member of the group LOONA, will make a launch as a solo artist.
According to the investigation of E-Daily on the 3rd, Heejin plans to release solo song(s) for promotion in October. She has already begun preparing music for release as a solo artist.
Heejin, born in 2000, first introduced herself to K-pop fans domestic and abroad as the first member of the LOONA debut project in 2016. At the time, she announced her potential with a single containing the bouncy solo “ViViD”. The next year, she stepped up as a member of the unit LOONA 1/3, and starting in 2018 she embarked on “full group” LOONA activities, garnering love domestically and abroad. Heejin also showed off unique star potential, being selected as an advertising model for an LG Electronics smartphone, among others.
In March, along with Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry whom she worked together with as LOONA members, Heejin made a new home at Modhaus, the agency also managing rookie group TripleS.
Following the signing of exclusive contracts, Modhaus announced that Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry would promote under the ARTMS project. Last month, the trio of Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry released an album together as Odd Eye Circle, generating curiosity of fans regarding Heejin’s next steps.
Heejin’s new beginning turned out to take the form of solo artistry. Expectations are high on what charms Heejin, who has been rated as a “hexagonal idol” with glamorous visuals, vocals, rap, and performance skills, will show off in her solo career.
