[Exclusive] LOONA Vivi & Hyunjin sign exclusive contracts with new agency CTD E&M
Vivi and Hyunjin from LOONA have found a new agency.
According to multiple music industry officials on the 11th, Vivi and Hyunjin, who recently won injunctions to terminate their contracts with former agency Blockberry Creative, have signed exclusive contracts with CTD E&M.
Previously, all members of Loona had filed for injunctions to suspend the effect of their exclusive contracts, finding issue with unfair contracting by Blockberry Creative. The court awarded injunctions to Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, Vivi, and Hyunjin. But Haseul, Yeojin, Yves, Go Won, and Olivia Hye, who had their contract provisions partially changed, lost their cases.
Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry, who won their cases, later joined Modhaus, a company established by CEO Jeong Byeong-gi who participated in producing for LOONA. At the time, Modhaus stated: “Modhaus wishes them all the best of luck on their new beginnings, and we promise to give them our full support so that they can create more cherished memories with their fans.”
Vivi and Hyunjin, who received their court decisions later than the other four members, decided to embark on a new beginning with CTD E&M after deep deliberation.
CTD E&M is a company newly established by CEO Yun Do-yeon, who has spent time at SM Entertainment and participated in the LOONA project while at Blockberry Creative. It is planning to launch the SuperEight project for a new boy group and reveal it later this year.
